HOW TO MONITOR THE BATTERY CONDITION ON YOUR WINDOWS OR APPLE DEVICE?
BELOW IS A DETAILED STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE BATTERY ON YOUR WINDOWS OR MAC LAPTOP:
STEPS FOR WINDOWS MACHINES:
- OPEN POWER & SLEEP SETTINGS:
- Click on the Windows icon in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
- Select “Settings” (gear-shaped icon).
- Choose “System.”
- Click on “Power & sleep.”
- CHECK BATTERY REPORT:
- Scroll down and select “Additional power settings” under the Related settings section.
- In the Power Options window, find and click on “Power usage details” in the left-hand menu.
- This opens the Power Meter. Here you can see the battery usage details over time.
- GENERATE BATTERY REPORT:
- Open a Command Prompt as an administrator: Press the Windows key, type “cmd,” right-click on “Command Prompt,” and select “Run as administrator.”
- Type powercfg /batteryreport and press Enter.
- This generates a Battery Report. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32 and find the file named “battery-report.html.” Open it with your web browser to view detailed information about your battery’s health, usage, and capacity.
